Despite best intentions, when I feel depressed or sad or numb or angry, I often find myself judging myself, thinking I ‘shouldn’t’ be feeling this way.
And yet beholding our uncertain future and the overwhelming level of intolerable suffering and injustice in the world, I think these feelings are an entirely appropriate response.
