Thank you for this thoughtful examination of a phenomenon of self-mistrust from the gender angle, and for being unafraid to say what we are so often told we are not allowed to say.

Thank you for sharing your resonance dear Morgana!

Today’s my birthday too!! Thank you for this piece. You’ve put into words what I’ve felt for a long time yet often find it impossible to divest myself of apprehensions and uncertainty - especially after being burnt and not listening to myself. Is it fear or is it intuition - is something I think a lot. I ability know the blaming myself rather than perceiving without self judgment.

I believe in precognition and know that what I feel is a step ahead of experience…. Just need to go slow to be in that space. I’m bleeding today and feeling relief and peace and joy. Thanks for your words and …. Happy birthday to you!!

Profound medicine for me, for women, and all those who are intuitive, empathic, cyclical, those whose perceptions are doubted—by themselves or others. Thank you.

Another deep and considered musing thanks Ruby 🤓

It gave me cause to reflect on interactions with women in my life. Mixed up with my own neuroses, I’m pretty sure that the pace of modern life leaves little space for the nuance of exploring different perceptions. Or maybe I need to make it more of a habit 🙏

Thank you Ruby for this observation. It reverberates in my body as sad and true. Womens’ judgement and presence is so much needed in this world! I was concerned, however, to read that you seem to be protective about how gender as a construct seems to somehow invalidate feminine traits? I fiercely believe us genderqueer people and women fighting patriarchy, we’re on the same team. Nobody will come and erase or invalidate or relativize your experience just because there are people who don’t fully fall in one category or have switched camps. We both argue that women can and should do anything they strive for, that their role is not cast in stone, that their experience is valid.

Think about gender as a construct is about empowering people to do their thing and not lessen anyone elses. 🩷

Thanks for your input dear Nino and for bringing in this nuance. I really have met people who see gender entirely as a social construct and I have been on the receiving end of being invalidated... but it's true that there is much more complexity!

i have 3 sisters , and yet it's me the brother who has studied and meditated-on and felt-into and built my life around the yin intuition .

one sister in particular is brutally logical and disconnected from her feelings , and attacks me for trusting mine .

yes women are more likely to be tuned into intuition .

but a large minority of men are in the same boat .

Yes, there is much more nuance I could have added dear Paddy, but then I don't want to make it too long and wordy. That's always the challenge. Thank you for bringing in your different experience, I appreciate it.

Oof that was so fricken good Ruby. I listened to your voice which is so soft and always seems to carry curiosity with its tone yet at the same time its preciseness felt like a gut punch into reality.

You speak to something so personal I feel, have seen and have experienced this and yet so interwoven into the fabric of our societal structure - perhaps in every part of it.?

Thankyou for naming this so clearly and helping me to see with clear sight. 🤍
